The graduate..

After a long stretch at uni, it was finally time for my man's graduation ceremony... So what does one wear to such an occasion?? 
One trip to the Wheels & Dollbaby store (of course) and I discovered the Smart Girl Dress YAY!


A super snug, on the knee ponti knit that shows off all your curves (and hides a few too) with a soft black velvet peter pan collar - totally cute and also totally customisable... remove the ruffle and for a completely different look. 


I added the slim velvet belt and nude pumps (a little addicted to these right now). I swapped the pumps for my super comfy black patent quilted ballet flats (courtesy of Kagui) after the ceremony. This dress is so versatile I think I might buy two just in case this one ever wears out! 


Even the stars are wearing it which makes it all the more fun.  Don't ya just love Kelly Osbourne's wardrobe? HELL knows she's made some disastrous mistakes along the way... but haven't we all x

I've been so depressed lately because my favourite handbag is getting on.  That little black patent quilted doctor bag (from peeptoe) has been hanging off my arm almost daily since I unwrapped it from its shiny silver bow-clad packaging nearly 2 years ago. Knowing it's discontinued I have whiled away many an hour desperately searching the net for a replacement that I know can never fill the void.

That's when I discovered Lulu Guinness... a British designer who creates fantastic accessories inspired by the 50's and in some crazy shapes & shades - love love love at first sight!

After much time agonising over two styles I finally took the plunge and ordered the 'Large Patent Pollyanna'. It arrived today and I'm totally & utterly in lust!

The first thing you should know about me, is that I'm an addict... My drug of choice? 50's inspired fashion especially Wheels & Dollbaby. I also have an insatiable appetite for patent leather, pumps (patent of course!) and Queens of the Stone Age. If you like fashion, music and everything in between, welcome to my world x

This weeks acquisition... the Ava Gardner dress - a gorgeous figure hugging satin number with chiffon bust, sweet black velvet bow and removable chandelier brooch (sigh...)

Although the dress looks amazing the way W&D have styled it, I prefer to add my own personal touches to make the outfit my own: 

Remove the brooch (I'll save that for another day), Nude Patent Pumps, mimco Crystal Dome Studs in jet, MAC Ruby Woo red lips, Peeptoe Lady Charisma bag on one arm (a birthday gift from my amazing girlfriends!!) and my tall drink o' water on the other...
